THE RECEPTION

Our beautiful wedding cake, and one that was actually edible!  Any other wedding cake I've had is fruit cake with steel-like icing.  Ours was fresh and moist and totally edible!

Here Jenny and I cut the cake.  A major switch since I am far better known for cutting the cheese...

Ashley got a different dress on for the reception.

Not to be outdone, Kylie also had a different dress for the reception.  The devilish look simply is an indication of what Kylie has in mind for the evening.

Young Archie Stewart, one of Best Man and brother of the bride Jeff Stewart's sons takes in the reception, and establishes his next target.

Former Toastmaster Jean Soulodre maintained excellent control over the reception proceedings as our Master of Ceremonies.

Cousins Kevin Lind, Joel Smith and Krista Smith (nee Lind).  Kevin worked for TDL once upon a time, and is now a great dad to his daughter Amelia.  Krista is a nurse and a "serial mom."

Two of the TDL crew.  Marla Moore and Tony, and Michael and Cathy Belluomini.  Cathy and Pete Palmer were able to attend the wedding too.

Marion and Andrew Scott visit with sister mary and her son Tyler.  Marion was offered huge sums of money by Bruno Velocci to "spill the beans" on Paul from their high school days.

Alyce and Marianne Soulodre talk with Marianne Lannigan.

Sarah McMillan stands with Toastmasters Shirley Singh and Nathan McMillan.

Mom and daughter Cathy Hayes and Emily Noseworthy.

Oddly well-mannered, the "young" table:  :Lindsey Charpentier, Jasmine Davis, Jay Bloxam, Kylie, Britanny Garden and Page West.

Carol Doyle is astonished at how Kylie transformed from blue to flaming red gown and wondered where this transformation occurred... Answer: in the car.  Dad was not allowed to look.  Also in the picture are Frank Doyle (partier and dancer extraordinaire) and in the background Lin Cole.

Becki and Jeff Stewart, with their two boys, Archie on the left and Freddy in the middle.  Freddy got right into the dancing part of the reception, stripping to his civvies and running from pillar to post on the dance floor.

Penny and Paul's financial advisor, Ken Hopper and his wife Elizabeth, talks shop with another client, Jill Stewart.

Paul chats it up Toastmasters style with Janice and Paul Pisani (Paul is a member of Simcoe Shores Toastmasters)

From left:  Ray Kitchener, Sharon Kitchener, Sheryl Lind, Tyler Linton, Krista Smith (Lind), Mary Nicholls and Judy Lind.

Barry and Glenys Emerson take their seats and gently pour out some water.  The great amount of care clearly being taken by Barry is because I had told him it wasn't really water but nitro glycerin, which could explode if mishandled.  He believed me.

Here Joel Smith, Judy Lind, and Tony Lind talk to Ken and Elizabeth Hopper.

Here, Brummie Jeff Stewart tries to convince Yorkshireman Steve Leeming and his wife Sheila that he really "is all that then mate!"  Jeff is in high-tech in the Royal Navy, and despite his young age, is actually approaching retirement age.

Charlie Cryderman (l) and Bob Pegg (r), represent two long-standing family names from Georgina.

The South Lake CFDC table, from left, Joan Mortson, JIm Mortson, Jennifer Faulks and Gordon Wakeling.

Kylie's boyfriend Jay Bloxam's parents, John and Cheryl Bloxam.

Sharon and Ray Kitchener share small talk with Donna and Glen McAllister.  When Jenny first arrived in Canada at the tender age of 18, she made friends with Sharon.  Jenny came to Canada to be an au pair to Donna's two boys Stephen and David.

Doug Eaton joins Barry and Glenys Emerson and Edna Shepherd for the reception.

Ron and Laurie Mori, listen intently to Tim Seguin explain something important to his wife Marie.  The Seguin's two girls helped out at the reception in a serving capacity.

While Nathan McMillan (back to camera) listens to Suzette Leeming talking to Sarah McMillan (hidden by the camera), John Leeming waits his turn.  In the background, Angie Benetis reacts to a whopper told by Patrick Lannigan (partly obscured by his wife Marianne), while Barbara Baron practices the "Paul Nicholls no reaction look" I've been teaching her.  Good work Barb!

Jim and Joan Mortson (L), talk to Marg LaRue.  In the background are Bob and Ann Pegg.

Lawrence Stewart talks it up with Ken Hopper and Tony Lind.
