I'm very proud of my professional career to date.

I presently work with Strategic Information Technology (SIT) now as their Relationship Manager. I've been able to improve a variety of processes and have turned around a number of challenging client situations, while steadily selling new applications and upgrades. I continue to model the "customer-is-king" mentality I would like everyone to adopt, and to a certain extent, I believe that's how I'm viewed within the company. When there's a tough situation with a client, send in Paul.

Prior to SIT, I was the majority shareholder of Top-Down Logic Corporation. We led the way in municipal systems in Ontario from the moment we started business. I was involved for almost 20 years in municipal software and became one of the key leaders in the technology. TDL was the first supplier offering a truly turnkey approach to supply, the first with an 800 support number, the first to offer green products and a number of other "firsts" that set us apart from our competition.
We were innovators well before our time. Working as a small tight-knit group we routinely field-stripped our competition in every aspect of operations. Notwithstanding our size, we routinely exceeded every industry norm for fiscal performance.
In 2002, we were offered an opportunity to sell our business and merge it with another company. We had been moving at high speed for so long, I think we felt we had earned a break, and took the offer.
Today, only Marla works for the successor company.

Before TDL I worked with MAI Basic Four Canada as their National Professional Services Manager. I worked with Kevin Tribe, a guy I still enjoy being around. Together with Mike Henning and our respective teams numbering almost 150 people, we managed to keep the MAI Toronto software operation humming until huge changes at the corporate level cut everyone's legs off. We achieved a tremendous amount of success and made some good money along the way.
Richter & Associates
Way in the past, I was the programming manager of Richter and Associates, the systems consulting division of Richter, Usher and Vineberg. The entire division has vanished over the years, moving off into individual systems groups no longer owned by the accountancy practice. While with Richter I had a tremendous opportunity to lead and grow the business. We handled some very large accounts with very unique needs. Along the way I worked with really talented and interesting people too. We set some significant benchmarks and I learned the right and wrong ways to run a company.
