I was born September 27, 1957 in Woodstock, Ontario.
I lived in Woodstock for the first three years of my life, then the family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. The only clear memories I have of 'Winterpeg' are of my dad shoveling snow and having the worst Grade 1 teacher on the face of the planet.
Fate smiled upon me and we moved from Winnipeg to St. Catharines during Grade 1, and I ended up having the best Grade 1 teacher in Ontario (Miss Kelton). Talk about extremes!
I spent my grade school years in Lakebreeze Public School; my middle school years (Grades 7 & 8) were spent at Dalewood Senior Public School.
From there Grade 9 was spent at Grantham High School.

Our family moved from St. Catharines to Burlington at the close of Grade 9, and I spent the remainder of my high school career at Lord Elgin High School (LEHS). I have a lot of great memories of that school. It has now 'closed' and 'merged' with General Brock High School to become Robert Bateman High School. I was fortunate enough to have been taught art by the great man himself. He and I also sang together in one of the many shows put on at LEHS in the 70's.
I attended McMaster University in the B. Comm. program until the lure and need for money took hold, when I transferred to a 3 year co-op education program in computer science at Mohawk College. I graduated (with honours) with my Computer Systems Technologist designation in 1979.
While I regret not keeping at my formal education steadily every year of my life, I have continued updating my skills as needed over the years. I have completed the critical 2 units of 4 for an Accredited Municipal Clerk-Treasurer. I have also completed both introductory and advanced courses in Mediation/Arbitration/Negotiation at Stitt, Feld and Handy.
I also recently completed my certificate in Human Resources Management from Durham College.
I practice the 4 Agreements based on Toltec wisdom as related by Don Miguel Ruiz.
